Do you also know of the Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo? The Dr. there is doing heroic work and has been championed by Eve Ensler who has and continues to speak out about the systematic abuse of women as a weapon of war in the Congo. I never even knew what a fistula was until a year ago. Thank you for the link.
kale- thanks , i shall go check it out. My most fave charity is this one and i find great satisfaction in being able to afford to provide enough money each year for full surgery and rehab for one of these very brave and strong and traumatised women. Nobel anyone?
